Next Week on Xbox: New Games for April 6–10, 2026
The Xbox team has something different in store for its users as April’s second week gets underway. According to an official list shared by the Xbox Wire on April 3, there are some interesting indie titles coming to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC, alongside Xbox Play Anywhere titles. Though it doesn’t seem like a big week for blockbusters, it definitely seems to be a strong week for gamers who prefer innovative games.
Another one worth watching for is called People of Note, releasing on April 7. It gets particularly interesting for its use of RPG turn-based battles, but in combination with performing to music, thus bringing a certain rhythm to fighting. The same day will see another title that deserves attention, titled Hacked: The Streamer. This game involves the player in the thrillers’ type storyline based on internet success and threats lurking in cyberspace. ChainStaff is also expected to release on April 7 and appears to be the most action-packed game of the month.
April 9 also features some of the most innovative-looking games. ‘Beyond Words’ appears to be a unique combination of roguelike strategic thinking and word building game design elements. Therefore, this is perhaps the most innovative game from today’s list. ‘Bytebond: Deluxe Edition’ places its focus on co-op gameplay whether couch or online and gives players an opportunity to solve puzzles within a computer infected by viruses. This is the type of game that can turn out to be a hidden gem for gamers who play with friends.

The most suitable option for those looking for a peaceful game might be Tiny Bookshop which launches on April 10. The game is a laid-back title in which the player can run a small second-hand bookshop by the sea, decorate their shop, and meet its inhabitants. Among other games with bizarre ideas released that week, this game seems like a particularly relaxing and delightful choice. Dragon Snack: From Ice to Ember is another more casual game with a fantasy theme.
