A new phone from the Lenovo Legion series has been unveiled recently. It is called Legion Y70 (2026), and it features an extremely bright screen, top-tier processor, long battery life, and other gaming-related capabilities.
Lenovo has finally rekindled the Legion line-up of gaming phones after four long years. The latest offering comes under the name of Legion Y70. This is identical to the device launched in 2022. For distinction purposes, we will refer to the phone as Legion Y70 (2026).
The Legion Y70 (2026) sports a design that appears to have been inspired by Motorola’s lineup of phones. Although not an exact copy, the similarities between the two designs are undeniable. Some of these include the squircle-shaped camera module and the flat edges. The Legion Y70 (2026) is offered in Ice Soul White and Carbon Black variants.

As far as screen is concerned, the Legion Y70 (2026) comes with a 6.8 inches LTPO AMOLED display (BOE Q10). It boasts a 144 Hz refresh rate, 510 PPI, and 7,000 nits brightness. It also supports Dolby Vision, DC Dimming, and SGS Eye Protection. Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, complemented by up to 16 GB of LPPDRX5 RAM and up to 1 TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
On the battery side of things, the Legion Y70 (2026) relies on an 8,000 mAh battery that can be charged at a maximum of 90 W. The company says that this battery will last up to 1200 charge cycles and lasts for more than two days with moderate use. Bypass Charging is also supported.

Coming to cameras, the Legion Y70 (2026) features a 32 MP f/2.2 selfie camera and a main 50 MP f/1.8 Sony LYT-710 primary sensor with OIS and PDAF, complemented by an 8 MP f/2.2 ultrawide angle camera. As for the other two circles, there is an anti-flicker sensor and LED flash located here.
But then again, it wouldn’t be a gaming smartphone without some gaming-related capabilities. To start with, according to Lenovo, the antennas have been placed in such a manner that no matter how the phone is being held, whether in portrait or landscape orientation, the connection isn’t impacted, and this applies even while on the subway.
Additionally, when connected to the Legion PC via Legion Zone, users of the Legion Y70 (2026) will be able to use the graphics capabilities of their PC in order to play AAA PC games. According to Lenovo, this capability does not need an emulator. There is also an AI game assistant which preloads games, thereby minimizing waiting time. The AI game assistant will also record automatically any moment of importance lasting up to 30 seconds while playing the game, and the assistant makes sure that your game continues to run in the background.

Though the Legion Y70 (2026) may lack the ruggedness that one would expect in terms of its design, it is indeed a rather durable phone. Specifically, the Legion Y70 (2026) is rated as IP66 + IP68 + IP69 and it can handle temperatures ranging from -20°C to 60°C. In addition, it is capable of surviving falls from heights of up to 1.8 meters. Some other notable specs include dual SIM functionality (including eSIM), stereo speakers, and VC cooling.
