Metro 2039 Xbox First Look Event: Full Details, Time & How to Watch

Finally, the long-awaited next chapter in the acclaimed Metro video games saga will be showcased. Xbox has revealed that there will be a special Xbox First Look event which will premiere Metro 2039. Fans of the video games will be able to see the world premiere of the new game at the digital event.

Metro 2039 will mark the release of the fourth video game in the franchise. The previous video games included such popular titles as Metro 2033, released in 2010; Metro: Last Light, released in 2013; and the most recent title Metro Exodus, released in 2019. All of the video games in this franchise are based on the works of the Russian author Dmitry Glukhovsky.

The event called Xbox First Look, which is going to happen soon, is scheduled for April 16, 2026, at 10:00 AM PT, 1:00 PM ET, and 6:00 PM BST. This event will be available online in the form of a YouTube Premiere on the channel of Xbox.

In Metro 2039, players will be able to experience the series’ iconic setting of surviving humans dwelling in the underground subway networks of Moscow, following a post-apocalyptic scenario caused by a nuclear war. Prior titles featured the adventures of Artyom and other survivors trying to stay alive in perilous conditions, including lethal radiation, mutants, and warring factions.

Finally, Xbox has revealed that the stream will come with subtitles in several languages, enabling gamers from around the world to access the content. Furthermore, audio descriptions and sign language translations are available for those who require them.
