Motorola Razr Fold has recently been made official in the US and is scheduled to launch in India soon. With this product, Motorola enters a new range of devices that have never seen any book-style designs in the past before.
Even though this handset was officially launched on April 29 in the United States, it was already introduced at Mobile World Congress 2026 that took place in March. The launch of the Motorola Razr Fold in India is now confirmed by a special microsite dedicated to this product.
From this microsite, it becomes clear that the Motorola Razr Fold will be available in India in May, even though the exact date still has to be revealed. Moreover, the microsite shows that the phone can be bought at Flipkart. From the teaser picture, it becomes clear that the color of the handset will be black and it will look just like the international version of the phone.

These news appear shortly after Motorola launches its product in the US, showing that India may become one of its key markets in the nearest future. At the same time, there is also information that the foldable phone will be available in China on May 19.
Motorola Razr Fold Specifications
As far as the hardware goes, the Motorola Razr Fold is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip that is fabricated using a 3 nm manufacturing process and an octa-core CPU that can work at up to 3.8 GHz frequencies. The chipset is complemented by an Adreno A829 GPU and an AI Engine based on a Hexagon NPU. The smartphone can accommodate up to 16 GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512 GB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The folding phone is outfitted with a large 8.1-inch LTPO pOLED screen on its interior side, with a native 2K resolution (2,484 x 2,232 pixels). It also boasts a refresh rate of 120 Hz and peak brightness up to 6,200 nits.
From its exterior design, the Razr Fold comes with a 6.6-inch LTPO pOLED front display panel featuring a resolution of 1,080 x 2,520 pixels. Not only does this external display offer even more impressive 165Hz refresh rates, but it also features Corning Gorilla Glass Ceramic 3 protective glass, providing a high level of scratch-resistance. Moreover, the display itself offers peak brightness of up to 6,000 nits.

Finally, durability and battery life cannot be neglected either. The phone boasts the IP49 waterproof and dust-resistant grade. As for its capacity and charging capabilities, the Razr Fold has a 6,000mAh battery that provides up to 80W wired charging speed and even 50W wireless charging support.
