Xbox Insiders Get Major Console Features Update in April 2026

Xbox April 2026 Insider Update Brings New Console Features

More freedom of choice, more customizability, and an improved overall experience from using their consoles are what Microsoft aims to offer Xbox users through a range of new features that they’re testing via selected Xbox Insiders. The new update, which was released on March 18, 2026, aims to provide quality-of-life updates that users have been longing for.

Another notable addition includes Custom User Colors. Prior to this innovation, Xbox gamers could only use predefined colors from the system menu. In addition, with the update, gamers are able to customize their colors by tweaking with the slider options to get the desired shade. This feature increases personalization for Xbox dashboard and Guide, thereby increasing the gamer’s attachment to the console. The company also announced that the selected color will show up as a tinted version in the Guide, although it gives the user an opportunity to disable this effect.

This new update will also help in improving one of the most popular features of the Xbox platform. That feature is Quick Resume, which lets users resume their game at any time without needing to restart the game again. Quick Resume hasn’t been working correctly for all games and particularly not after having a break. To solve this problem, the users of Xbox now have the option to turn off Quick Resume for individual games.

Xbox is also revamping the profile identity by introducing Profile Badges on the Guide. In future updates, users will be able to see the last five badges they unlocked while looking at their own profile as well as the profile of someone else within the guide itself. These changes will help in recognizing accomplishments and giving the Xbox platform a more social and profile-oriented feel.

On the whole, even though there aren’t too many changes introduced through this April 2026 Xbox Insider update, they are useful nonetheless. From improved organization to enhanced personalization and intelligent game launch management, Xbox seems to have finally heard what their users are saying.
