Once Human Console Closed Beta Opens the Supernatural Survival World on Xbox
Xbox has officially opened the gates to the weird and perilous world of Once Human on the console. In a recent announcement, the company has confirmed the arrival of the game’s first-ever Console Closed Beta on the Xbox Series X|S consoles. The announcement is a huge step for the players who have been waiting to try the creepy survival game on the Xbox consoles.
Once Human has already generated a lot of interest with its post-apocalyptic survival features, creepy monsters, base building, and co-op survival features. Now, the players on the Xbox consoles will finally get a chance to try the game for themselves.
According to the official information provided, this is a short but clear window for testing, with pre-download starting on March 24 at 7:00 PM PT, server live time starting on March 26 at 7:00 PM PT, and ending on April 8 at 11:59 PM PT. So, players have two weeks to test out the systems and play through.

It’s also been confirmed that players can expect to play through the tutorial and the Manibus scenario during this time, with server support for this taking place in North America and European servers only. But don’t worry, players won’t go away empty-handed either! If players can reach character level 20 during this time, they can earn themselves the Closed Beta Pack, which includes the Abyssal Dragon Set and Dragon Dance – KAM for their linked account.
Joining the beta is quite simple, but there is a requirement for users to have access through the Xbox Insider Hub. For users to join, they are required to open their Xbox Series X/S console, open the Xbox Insider Hub, go to the Previews section, select Once Human Closed Beta, and follow the registration process. However, there is a note from Xbox that there are limited spots available, so joining the beta does not mean all users are guaranteed a spot.
One thing to note for users is that this is a console-based beta, so users are not required to have a gaming PC. In fact, users are not allowed to share their gameplay, so this is a controller-based beta, and users are not allowed to record or share their gameplay.
Overall, this closed beta feels like an exciting preview for Xbox players who enjoy survival games with a dark sci-fi twist. If Once Human performs well and has a solid gaming experience, it could be one of the more interesting free-to-play survival games coming to Xbox this year.
